Buying a boat
- Does it cost anything to use Hull Connect as a buyer?
- No. Browsing boats, saving them and asking about them is free.
- Where do the boats on Hull Connect come from?
- From dealerships and private sellers across the United States. Every boat page says whether it is a dealer listing or a private listing. A dealership's boats are read from its own website and checked every week, so price changes carry over and boats the dealer has taken down come off.Browse boats
- How do I ask about a boat?
- Press Ask the Dealer or Ask the Seller on the boat's page. Pick a question such as Still available? or Photos or video, add your name and email, and send it. Your question comes to Hull Connect first, and we pass it to the dealership or the seller. Their reply comes to your email.
- How do I know a boat is still for sale?
- Dealer boats are checked against the dealership's own website every week, and a boat that comes off their site comes off Hull Connect. A boat that is no longer listed can't be asked about. The quickest way to be sure is to ask: Still available? is one tap on every boat page.
- Can I find boats near me?
- Yes. Enter your ZIP code to see boats within 25, 50, 100, 250 or 500 miles, and sort by nearest. You can also narrow the list by kind of boat, builder, price, year, length, state, dealership, new or used, and dealer or private seller.Search boats
- Can I save boats and compare them?
- Tap the heart on any boat to save it. Saved boats stay on your device, and signing in keeps them on every device you use. You can also compare up to three boats side by side.
- What if I can't find the boat I want?
- Use Help Me Find a Boat. Tell us the kind of boat you want and, if you like, a budget and a place. The Hull Connect team looks through the boats on Hull Connect for ones that fit and replies by email. It goes to our team, not a dealership, and what happens next is up to you.Help Me Find a Boat
- Does Hull Connect inspect boats or handle the payment?
- No. Listing details come from the seller, so confirm them in person and inspect the boat or have it inspected before you buy. Payment, title, registration and financing are between you and the seller. Hull Connect is not a party to the sale.Read the terms
Selling your boat
- How much does it cost to sell my boat on Hull Connect?
- A private listing is a one-time package with no commission on the sale: Standard $39, Featured $79 or Premium Marketing $199. Standard and Featured each run for 90 days, and Premium Marketing is a 90-day campaign.See seller packages
- What do the seller packages include?
- The Standard Listing, $39, includes a professional boat listing page; your boat's details, specifications and photos; a place in standard search results; and buyer inquiries forwarded directly to you. The Featured Listing, $79, adds placement on the Featured Boats page, higher placement in relevant search results, the Featured badge on your listing and one social media feature on Hull Connect. The Premium Marketing package, $199, adds multiple social media posts and stories, a dedicated feature on the Hull Connect website, an SEO-optimized listing with relevant boat-guide placement where appropriate, targeted outreach to potentially interested buyers and a custom promotional email or buyer alert when relevant.Compare packages
- How does selling with Hull Connect work?
- Choose a package, then send your boat's details and photos with List Your Boat; phone photos are fine. We review them, usually follow up within a day or two, and build the listing. What your package includes is confirmed with you before it goes live. Your boat goes on the marketplace and buyer inquiries are forwarded to you. Featured and Premium Marketing add more visibility and social media promotion. You complete the sale your way.List your boat
- How long does my listing run?
- 90 days from the day your listing goes live, not from the day you pay. You can ask us to take it down sooner at any time.
- Is a sale guaranteed?
- No. Your package puts your boat in front of buyers, but promotional exposure and a sale are not guaranteed. What your package includes is confirmed with you before your listing goes live.
- Will buyers see my phone number or email?
- No. Buyers see your boat's details and photos and the words Private Seller. Your name, email and phone stay with Hull Connect until you choose to talk to a buyer.
- Who handles the paperwork and the money?
- You and your buyer, just like any private sale. You complete the sale, the payment and the title transfer directly, and the money for the boat never passes through Hull Connect.
- Is Hull Connect a broker?
- No. Hull Connect is a marketplace. You choose a listing package, set the price, talk to buyers and choose which offer to accept. Compared with a broker's typical 8 to 10% commission, a Hull Connect listing is a one-time payment from $39 with no commission on the sale.
- How do I work out what my boat is worth?
- Our pricing guide shows the current asking prices of used boats on Hull Connect by kind of boat, with the lowest, middle and highest for each. They are asking prices, not sale prices, so use them as a starting point. How to price a boat

For dealerships
- How much does it cost to list our inventory?
- A flat monthly subscription based on the most boats you have live: up to 50 boats, $79; up to 100 boats, $129; up to 200 boats, $199; up to 300 boats, $269; up to 500 boats, $349 a month. More than 500 boats? Ask us. The plan, the price and what it includes are agreed in writing before anything starts.Dealer plans
- Do you charge for leads?
- No. There are no lead fees. Buyer inquiries about your boats come to Hull Connect first and are passed to your sales team, and you tell us who they should go to.
- Do we have to enter our boats by hand?
- No. Your whole inventory is read from your own website, so nobody retypes a listing. We check your site every week: price changes carry over, sold boats come off and new arrivals go up.
- What reports do we get?
- Every paying dealership gets a monthly report as a PDF: views of your boats week by week and boat by boat, visits to your dealer page, boats saved by shoppers, buyer inquiries with the full lead list, and your inventory, with what came on and what came off.
- Can you promote our boats beyond the listings?
- Every plan includes your boats in Hull Connect's Instagram and Facebook posts and stories, with your dealership's name on each. Featured inventory, shown first on the homepage and the marketplace, and extra social media promotion are optional packages, priced separately.
- How do we get started?
- Press I'm Interested on the For Dealers page and send your dealership's name and the page on your website where your boats are listed. No account is needed, and we'll be in touch. For dealerships
- Can we change our listings or take our boats off?
- Yes. Any change to your plan is agreed with you first, and you can ask at any time for a listing to be corrected or for your boats to be taken off Hull Connect.
